Loved the pics and fits. Wanted to throw out some PNW recommendations. Whidbey Island Bagel Factory, which is actually off island in Mount Vernon is SO GOOD, perfect to grab at the start of the day if you're taking the island north to south and hitting deception pass first. Captain Whidbey Inn is my all time favorite on the island and has a great restaurant if you don't need a full stay. Perfect vibes and right on penn cove.
Also theres been a lot of whale activity on the east side of Whidbey recently, if you follow Orca Network on Facebook, you can get realtime updates and maybe spot some Orca's or Grey whales from the shore. TOP place people see them most often is Hidden Beach, close to Langley on the south end.
When you're heading between Whidbey and Bellingham, add Chuckanut Drive to the trip, it hugs the coast, giving you a view of the islands, and goes through larabee state park and is gorgeous.
Seconding Taylor Shellfish (with a stop at Clayton Beach on the way?)! Also, Café Blue is a great little coffee shop in Fairhaven, and Beach Cat Brewing just opened on the waterfront with a huge deck overlooking the Bay. Not a business but Little Squalicum Pier recently opened and it's the longest public pier in the state and at low tide you can go on a decently long beach walk!

Whidbey local here! I second the reccos for exploring along Chuckanut on the way to Whidbey. Bow is the cutest town to check out.
