Welcome to TOGS! Here we explore the culture of fashion in the outdoors, test clothing and gear, poke at trends, and bring you interesting stories from people who sport in style.
Hello TOGS readers! Can you believe it’s already late July?! My birthday week has really snuck up on me this year. This time last year I was in Sea Ranch, CA celebrating my 30th with a niche dress code that you can read about here—
Poor year 31 does not get the same bells and whistles, but I do have my family in town for a little staycation here in Telluride— which is all I could ask for!
So here’s what I wore this week, the last of thirty:
Art Class
I took the best Indigo dyeing class through our amazing Art School here in Telluride, the Ah Haa School for the Arts. I highly recommend taking an art or cooking class with them if you’re ever visiting!
I wore my go-to art smock, which is an old model from Topo Designs. My striped shorts are from NY designer Tio Lee, and the clogs are Seavees. I think these shoes are better for standing, but less optimal for walking long distances, as they don’t love to bend—so good for an art class but not my recommendation for more movement than that!
My Warby Parker glasses are just for show (curse my perfect vision), but their supposed blue light blocking capability was my excuse for getting them, whether that’s a real thing or not.
