Last May, I asked my partner Pierre, to marry me. I mean who wouldn’t love to live a life with a french man who comes with fresh baguettes? (particularly the ones pictured below which are the best I’ve had in France, and if you find yourself in the small village of Bedoin under Mont Ventoux, you must go to Boulangerie Olivero - Ravel)

And while we are still at least a year, more like a year and a half away from on having an actual wedding, it hasn’t stopped me from starting to think about what I’d like to wear.
The wedding world is wild-the options endless. Wild isn’t the right word…overwhelming is more appropriate. For me, I’ve been saving images that spark a feeling of that’s me. I don’t want to feel like I’m wearing a costume. While at the same time I’d certainly like to take the opportunity to wear something out of the daily norm.

A Pinterest board and saved folder of images has helped me to narrow down some choices by seeing what patterns emerge. Simple. Straight cut. Little if any lace. And a bit masculine. Hopefully, by having a fairly specific idea, I can avoid trying on 100 dresses like
did…though chapeau to her for the effort!
There’s a lot of bridal shops and websites out there. But for me, there’s more on them that I don’t like than I like. Below are five that stood out from the crowd.
