Greetings, good readers of TOGS. North here.

We’ve got a fun letter full of style ideas + inspo this week, but first—extra, extra, read all about it!—we’ve got some news you can use, fresh from the world of the fashion + function.

  • First off!: Kellyn teamed up with Seniq to collaborate on The Strange Garden, the brand’s first-ever original print collection. We’re talking greenhouses, gingham, and a natural-looking texture rendered on technical fabric. Zow! Kellyn will give you a behind-the-scenes look at the project in her letter next week, but until then, check it out!

  • Goldwin, a favorite brand of mine, recently revived their U.S, webshop after several months of closure. They also opened a beautiful flagship store in New York a few weeks ago. One day, I’ll save up enough pennies for some Helicoid Jeans.

  • The Kragg, Arc’teryx’s sleek-yet-ultra-plush approach shoe, got a fresh cut for summer in the Kragg Aura (women/men). I don’t love the Internet-speak name, but I do like the shoe.

  • Vivobarefoot has begun making ultra-minimal, custom 3D-printed flip flops. They’re only available in-store in London, Bristol, and Prague, but they’re worth checking out for the wild photography and creative production alone. The humans are looking alien, or perhaps maybe just extra terrestrial.

  • Outlier, a performance clothing brand with a decidedly urban feel, made a line of super light knit shirts. To create a yarn that’s “nearly weightless,” slightly translucent, and durable (at least for what it is), they wrapped cotton around a fine nylon filament and then scorched the fuzz away with enzymes. I especially love the triple-layer look, even if it kind of defeats the purpose of an ultralight shirt.

  • Speaking of nearly weightless: Janji recently launched a new Race Division line of performance running apparel. I had a chance to try the Pinnacle RD Gossamer Tee (mens/womens) and am happy to report that the fit is solid (not too long!), the fabric is silky, and that it will be my go-to hot weather running shirt this summer.

Just 68 grams in a men’s XS, they say.

Now, on to today’s letter…
