I’m finishing up the questions submitted to the ASK TOGS callout this month!
Before I get started, some photos sent in from friend and reader, Haley via a 1959 Colorado Magazine:
So great. Thanks for sending these in!!
Now to some Q&As-
What would you wear for a bachelorette or any other bridal events? HELPPPP
Ok, we got a few of these from our glowing bridal girlies! I feel like there’s so much out there for the beachy bach trips, so I’m going pick some things that would work for mountain/outdoor centric ones. Maybe you’re coming to a mountain town for a bridal event or just like a slightly more casual chill bride vibe ya?
(Obviously I don’t think the fringey one piece is all that technical, but if the gals are at Cloud Nine for champagne then this would be a blast to wear. You could whip it out for many closing days to come.)
I think it’s really beautiful and feels a lot less costumey when you mix some white and cream together, rather than going for a stark whiteonwhiteonwhite. Maybe some light grays or butter yellows would be cute.
Here are some more elevated options that I think would still be really lovely in nature, and can be reworn after the bridal events come to an end.
These options run the whole gamut of prices, so I tried to throw in some different budget options.
Post wedding, I think it would be a blast to take some of the many white things you bought for these events and look into the amazing world of natural dyeing to refresh those white linen dresses. I’ll delve deeper into that in an upcoming letter, but the internet offers lots of how-tos!
Specific summer sandals you’re liking right now? I only wear Chacos but need something flat thats a nicer but not city-fancy! SOS
Ok specific sandals coming up!
Finding high quality and sustainable pieces to add to a more permanent-ish rotation in my closet is very expensive — I’m wondering if you have any feedback on this and how you go about finding more affordable options in vintage stores or on sites like Poshmark, Depop, etc (because they are so overwhelming) …. and also which ones you like the best!
